The Ossila Horizontal Laminar Flow Hood provides a clean air environment to conduct your experiments reliably. Achieve clean laminar air flow with minimal turbulence to protect your samples from partical contamination. The benchtop design is portable and fits into your exisiting lab set up, making it the perfect choice for small-scale experiments. Switch between horizontal and vertical setups thanks to the interchangeable design. This flexibility ensures you have the best configuration for your experimental setup.

Standing apart from other systems, laminar flow hoods from Ossila arrive complete with a compatible HEPA filter and pre-filter, sensors, control system, and tray.

Why Choose a Horizontal Laminar Flow Hood?

Significant Protection from Contamination

Air flows parallel to the work bench, continuously removing dust and other particles from the hood. This minimizes the risk of your samples being compromised by unwanted particles in your workspace, such as dust on gloves or stray materials.

Air flow tests inside and outside a laminar flow hood using Triptic Soy agar plates
Contact tests inside and outside a laminar flow hood using Sabouraud Dextrose agar plates

Reduced Risk of User Contamination

Placing your hands into a horizontal laminar flow hood does not interrupt the laminar flow. Dust and impurities on your hands or gloves are quickly pushed out of the workspace, and user contamination is greatly reduced as a result.

Smooth Air Flow at Bench

Turbulence near the work bench is less likely with the horizontal configuration than the vertical configuration. If you are consistently working on the bench top with media plates or small-area thin films, it will protect your samples effectively without disturbing them.

The Ossila Horizontal Laminar Flow Hood comes flat-packed and is also configurable as a vertical laminar flow hood depending on your preference and requirements.
