How to assemble XYZ linear stage

Captions

  1. Unscrew the six screws indicated with the provided Allen (hex) key to unfasten the top plate.
  2. With the stage in a central position, slide out the top plate through the slot in the stage.
  3. Move the stage to an edge position in order to access the screw holes which fasten the system to the breadboard.
  4. Insert the M6 screws into the corner screw holes and tighten with the provided Allen (hex) key.
  5. With the stage in a central position again, slide the top plate back into position through the slot in the stage and screw in the 6 screws removed before.
  6. Removing the top plate for the second system as done for the first, line up the screw holes in the first and second stages, ensuring the stages will move perpendicularly.
  7. Insert and tighten the M6 screws in the following holes using the provided Allen key.
  8. Slide the top plate back in through the slot, as before.
  9. Again, after removing the top plate, position the third system on the second stage as such and line up the screw holes.
  10. Insert M6 screws into the four holes and tighten with the provided Allen key.
  11. Slide the top plate back in through the slot in the stage.
  12. Tighten the screws that fasten the plate.
  13. The stages can be controlled individually through the Linear Stage Software.
