The Ossila Doctor Blade Coater comes in either 100mm or 200mm coating widths as standard with a digital height gauge and a stainless steel applicator. You can also purchase a custom width applicator.

Doctor Blade Coater Features

Intuitive Stage Design

The glass plate stage is pre-printed with a grid pattern so you can quickly setup and align your samples. Combined with a drip tray that can be mounted at either end of the system and software to set the direction of travel, setting up your experiments is simple.

Quick-Lock Design

Designed with a quick locking magnet, the stage can be removed and reinstalled with ease for quick and efficient cleaning between coatings. The drip tray, and clamping mechanism utilise the same design so you can quickly switch how the system is configured.

Wide Range of Coating Speeds

Using our tried and tested motorized stage the Ossila Doctor Blade Coater provides smooth, continuous movement across a wide range of speeds. The motor can achieve speeds as low as 0.05 mm.s^-1 and as high as 250 mm.s^-1, allowing you to coat a wide range of solution viscosities without forming defects.

Large Coating Area

With a maximum travel distance of 290 mm and maximum coating width of 225mm, scaling up your doctor blade coating processes has never been easier.

Interchangeable applicators
