Adjustable Film Applicator
Ossila's adjustable film applicators allow you to quickly adjust the gap height and provide a wide range of wet film coatings from a single instrument.
Ossila's series of Adjustable Film Applicators give you the ability to accurately control the gap height of your applicator down to the micron level. With coating widths ranging from 50mm to 200mm, and options for analogue or digital readout of height, you can select the film applicator that is right for you. The Ossila adjustable film applicator has a specially designed gap slot designed to optimise flow of solution into the gap and comes with a slurry spreader built in to ensure that the slurry is retained within the applicator and is distributed across the width.
Precision Micrometer Heads
The adjustable film applicators come with a choice of either analogue or digital micrometre heads. Both provide high accuracy for the blades position, with a rounded tungsten carbide tip for high wear resistance, and with the zero position of the blade calibrated to the zero position of the micrometer gauge. This simplifies the positioning of your blade gap improving reproducibility and reducing the time to set gaps.
Resistant Materials
Ossila's adjustable applicators come made from aluminium with a layer of hard anodization on the surface as standard. This hard anodization provides not only a chemically resistant outer surface for the aluminium but also is resistant against abrasions giving you a long lasting finish.
Customised Film Applicators
Ossila can also provide you with customised solutions for your film applicator needs, we can create custom width coatings between 50mm and 200mm for a fixed price.
