Simplify large-area film coating with the precision of our adjustable film applicator. Complete with solution reservoir, adjustable height blade and micrometer gauges, create a wide range of wet film coatings with a single instrument.
Accurately control the gap height of your applicator up to 10 mm thickness with micron-level control using either analogue or digital height readout options. The specially designed gap slot optimizes flow of solution into the gap and comes with an integrated slurry spreader to ensure that the slurry is retained within the applicator and distributed across the full width.
Select the coating width that is right for you, with models from 50mm to 200mm. For consistent coating speeds, integrate seamlessly with our Automatic Film Applicator.

Adjustable Film Applicator Features
Precision Micrometer Heads
A choice of analogue or digital micrometer heads provide high accuracy blade positioning. For improved reproducibility and efficiency, the blade is calibrated to the zero position of the micrometer gauge. Plus, the rounded tungsten carbide tip provides high wear resistance for the longevity of your system.
Manual or Automatic Coating
The adjustable film applicator is suitable for both manual and automatic coating techniques. Manual coating processes are simple and budget-friendly, or you can remove the risk of human error by automating your coating process with the Ossila Automatic Film Applicator.
Resistant Materials
The anodized aluminium provides a chemically resistant outer surface for a wide range of coating solutions. Resistant to abrasions, this applicator can be used again and again to reliably produce consistent coatings. For coating materials that require higher chemical resistance, choose our stainless steel model.
