Battery Binders
Battery binders play a crucial role in the stability and performance of a range of cells. Through bonding interactions, binders are able to provide interconnected networks to secure different electrode components. High quality polymeric binders introduce high thermal and mechanical stability, as well as high voltage and corrosion resistance.
Electrode slurries containing the active electrode material and conductive additives are uniformly enhanced by battery binders. Homogenous mixtures aid in the binding and adhering of the slurry to the surface of the current collector. Binders also help prevent the damage and breakage of the electrode components due to volume expansion during the charge/discharge cycles.

Battery binders are typically polymeric materials that are used like glue to hold together electrode components. Crucial for providing stability, they ensure even coatings and robust adhesion. Carefully selected electrochemical properties prevent unwanted chemical reactions with the active electrode materials. Importantly, they allow efficient electron and ion movement within the battery system.
