Overview | Product Information | Related Products
2,5-Dimethoxyterephthalohydrazide (CAS number 114503-42-3) is a p-dimethoxybenzene functionalized with two hydrazide groups at para-position. 2,5-Dimethoxyterephthalohydrazide reacts with aldehydes for the synthesis of COFs with hydrazone linkage. A heterogeneous COF photocatalyst is synthesized from 2,5-dimethoxyterephthalohydrazide and triformylbenzene. The COF displays surface area of 1501 m2/g as well as efficient photocatalytic activity towards cross-dehydrogenative coupling reactions.
2,5-Dimethoxyterephthalohydrazide is also used to prepare β-ketoenamine based COFs. The resulting 2D COF exhibits high crystallinity, good stability, and photoluminescence properties. Additionally, the fluorescent emission varies corresponding to the pH value in aqueous solutions.
