5,8-Dibromo-6,7-difluoro-2-((2-hexyldecyl)oxy)-3-methylquinoxaline (MeHDOQx-DBrDF), CAS number 2414359-15-0, is used for the synthesis of low band-gap polymer semiconductors such as PTQ11.
Fluorinated quinoxaline derivatives are electron deficient, however the electron deficiency is compensated by introducing small methyl and large hexyldecyloxy group which also helps to improve the targeted polymers' solubility in most of the commonly used solvents and to enhance absorption of the polymer.
