Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) 1,3,5-Triethynylbenzene Ligand
Trigonal star shaped linker for covalent organic frameworks (COFs) in application of oxygen and carbon dioxide reduction as photocatalyst
Specifications | MSDS | Literature and Reviews
4,4',4''-(benzene-1,3,5-triyltris(ethyne-2,1-diyl))trianiline (TETAB) has a triagonal star shaped structure with three 4-ethynylaniline connecting to a central benzene ring at 1,3,5-positions. 4,4',4''-(benzene-1,3,5-triyltris(ethyne-2,1-diyl))trianiline has been used in the construction of covalent organic frameworks for photochemical reductions of O2 and CO2.
Imine-linked covalent organic frameworks (COFs), OMHS-COF-Co, prepared by condensation of 2,2’-bipyridine-5,5’-dicarbaldehyde and 4,4',4''-(benzene-1,3,5-triyltris(ethyne-2,1-diyl))trianiline, is engaged as photocatalyst in the photochemical reduction of CO2 to CO. It shows a preeminent cycling stability and an impressive CO production rate of as high as 15 874 µmol g−1 h−1, and a large selectivity of 92.4%.

One-dimensional TP–TTA–COF constructed from 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol and 4,4′,4″-(benzene-1,3,5-triyltris(ethyne-2,1-diyl))trianiline yields highly stable β-ketoenamine and abundant alkynyl groups. Further reaction of H2PtCl6·6H2O with TP–TTA–COF by coordinating Pt to the N and O atoms of the C–N and C=O bonds from the linkage and 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol units gives PtCl-COF as photocatalyst to boost hydrogen peroxide production.
