Ultra-flat glass substrates coated with a 20 nm layer of synthetic quartz. Small squares of ITO (indium tin oxide) in the corners help identify the SiO2 coated side.
For many applications standard glass is simply not good enough due to either surface roughness or wettability. These synthetic quartz covered substrates are useful for a variety of activities such as absorption/PL measurements, OFET fabrication, and surface profilometry.
