A star-shaped ligand linker for MOFs in applications of methane adsorption
Specifications | MSDS | Literature and Reviews
4,4',4'',4'''-(9H-Carbazole-1,3,6,8-tetrayl)tetrabenzoic acid (H4CzTB) has a cabzolyl core with four 4-benzoic acids side arms around the carbazole ring at 1,3,6,8-poisitions.
Mesoporous MOF, PCN-668, Fe3O cluster using 4,4',4'',4'''-(9H-carbazole-1,3,6,8-tetrayl)tetrabenzoic acid as ligand linker, shows both nanoscale cage-like building units and one-dimensional (1D) channels with neighbouring cages being mutual diastereomers. Acid stability of PCN-668 can be improved via post-synthetic metal exchange to chromium. PCN-668-Cr exhibits very high stability in both acidic and basic aqueous solutions (pH = 1–11). Additionally, the mesoporous MOF showed a high total gravimetric methane uptake of ∼ 500 cm3 g-1 at 100 bar.
